We offer wire EDM, which uses a thin, taut wire connected to a high-voltage power supply as an electrode. This electrode is used to generate a continuous series of electrical arcs between the electrode and the work piece. These arcs disintegrate and melt the material, and the removed material is flushed away by a dielectric fluid. The electrode’s motion is usually controlled by CNC. Using EDM, machines can cut small, intricate and uniquely-shaped patterns and contours into parts.
